The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is the return of an icon. You remember all the embarrassing stories your parents used to tell you about when they had their old Volkswagen Bus? Well, now you can create stories of your own in this latest version. But here's the shocker: The new Volkswagen ID. Buzz is all electric! (Yes, the pun was intended.) And it's available at Volkswagen of Sanford!
Inspired by the original VW Type 2 Microbus, the new ID. Buzz even looks the part with its two-tone finishes. All it needs now is a Grateful Dead bumper sticker!
3-Row EV
The new Volkswagen ID. Buzz is an electric three-row minivan. Or is it an electric three-row SUV? However you want to classify the new VW ID. Buzz, this 3-row EV doesn't forget its roots and manages to do right through the use of sustainable materials including sea debris like plastics, filaments, and other by-products that are recovered from the world's oceans.
First released in Europe as a five-passenger vehicle, the U.S.-bound ID. Buzz includes three rows with room for seven passengers. The extra room is courtesy of 10-inches of extended wheelbase that has allowed the interior to grow larger than the Euro-version. Overall, the ID. Buzz is roughly the size of Volkswagen's larger SUVs, namely the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport.
VW ID. Buzz Range
The ID. Buzz is available in two styles: Rear or all-wheel drive. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) models come with a single rear-axle mounted motor. All-wheel drive (AWD) models have electric motors on both the front and rear axles. The RWD model has a range of 234 miles, while the AWD models achieve 231 miles.
The ID. Buzz rear-wheel drive motor makes 282 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque from a 91-kWh battery. The dual-motor, all-wheel drive model is producing 335 hp. All are electronically-limited to a top speed of 99 mph.
The ID. Buzz includes a limited warranty and powertrain warranty of four years or 50,000 miles. Battery components are covered for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. VW ID. Buzz Interior - Step Into The Future
On the outside the new VW ID. Buzz may look a lot like its iconic predecessor, but the inside probably won't look quite as familiar. The dashboard features a 10.0-inch digital gauge display. There's even a pair of front massaging seats as an available option. Also up front: a 12.9-inch infotainment screen to operate audio, navigation, and many other features. There's even Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for cellular connectivity. Sometimes newer is better.
Volkswagen With 3-Row Seating Versatility
Inside, versions of the ID. Buzz for North America will be comprised of 2-3-2 seating in its three-row layout. Seats are covered with synthetic leather throughout, and the rear seats can fold down for extra space. The third row seating is even completely removable for extra cargo carrying capability. The cargo space and overall versatility of this new Volkswagen Buzz makes it the perfect vehicle for those with active lifestyles, families, or anyone needing to lug around larger items.
Volkswagen Bus Colors
As shown above, a rainbow of exterior colors will be available on the new VW Buzz (dependent on trim level). Two-tone options will either pair a Candy White top with Energetic Orange, Pomelo Yellow, Blue Charcoal, Mahi Green, Metro Silver, Cabana Blue or Indium Grey on the bottom section; or a Metro Silver top with Cherry Red below. Three single-tone options will be offered as well: Metro Silver, Candy White, and Deep Black Pearl. Meaning there's a fun color and style for everyone!
